INITIAL CONSULTATION

 

At Wieldy Construction, we will take the time to listen to your ideas, needs and wants for your space.

 

We will:

  • Explain our process and help you develop a more thorough understanding of your design/build options
  • Discuss your desired budget and investment comfort-zone
  • Answer any questions you may have on feasibility, or address any other concerns you may have

 

With your input, we’ll create a design plan that works best for your space and develop the scope of work, budget and construction timelines. Once you’re satisfied with the plans we’ll review and sign the initial agreement, then move onto the Design phase.

DESIGN

 

In this stage we’ll gather more detailed measurements from your home and draw up our initial “as built” plans. Next we’ll create the initial concept design for your remodel and, using your feedback, develop mood boards to help visualize the process.

 

Our clients also love our ability to provide architectural rendering and 3D project modeling, which brings your finished home remodel to life and allows for any necessary changes to be made ahead of the Building phase. We’ll review any impacts these changes may have on your budget and set allowance-based estimates for the project in the contract.

 

Once the contract has been reviewed and signed, we’ll move onto the next stage of the process.

REFINE

 

Once the contract is signed, detailed construction drawings and permit plans are developed, including engineering. The choice to renovate your home may seem daunting, but the Wieldy team works to ensure a smooth process from start to finish.

 

Thanks to years of experience in the Portland Metro area, we have a strong knowledge of:

  • design guidelines
  • historical and architectural detail
  • construction engineering

 

As experts in working with local regulations and standards, we’ll also be able to swiftly handle the process of applying and acquiring building permits, or addressing variances.

BUILD

 

Once final details are settled and the construction agreement is signed, detailed construction drawings are created. We will also obtain the necessary building permits and establish the project timeline, then begin ordering the materials necessary for your project.

 

Working with you every step of the way, we will be able to prepare the schedule for your remodel, which we will use to ensure your project is completed in a timely manner. Our team will happily address any concerns or questions that may arise during construction and will minimize the disruption of your home life as much as possible.
